Job Summary
The Receptionist maintains a warm, friendly, and supportive manner when greeting people who contact the Agency by either telephone or in person. Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel. Maintains a high level of knowledge of the services provided by the Agency and the key employees in each program. Answers questions about the organization and provides callers with directions, and other information. The Receptionist performs typing, record keeping and scheduling as needed to support the site staff. The Receptionist works with highly confidential and sensitive client information. In addition, receives client payments and is responsible for logging and maintaining proper accounting for said payments. Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or departments. The person retrieves messages from voice mail and forwards to appropriate personnel.
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Hours: As needed to cover staff shortages, time off, call outs. Must be available Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 5pm

Responsibilities and Duties
- Answer all incoming calls to the site and direct callers to appropriate staff or site.
- Receive and record client payments and provide receipts in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist with bank deposits
- He/she protects employees and clients by maintaining a safe and clean working environment and is specifically responsible for the appearance of the reception area, conference room and adjoining hall.
- Receives, sorts and routes mail and publications.
- Will have a flexible schedule based on the needs of the site.
- Types general office correspondence, i.e., memos and letters.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience using computers, multi-line telephone, fax, copier is required
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365 required
- Experience in customer service with a background working within an office setting is desirable
